Snickers Pie is the perfect no bake dessert. It’s a creamy pie version of a caramel apple!
This is another one of those “I’ve had that before!” kind of recipes. If you grew up going to church potlucks, attending cookouts with your friends or enjoying family reunions, you’be probably had some version of this Snickers Pie already. It’s a classic.
There’s an ancient recipe that you’ll see in magazines and cook books like Taste of Home called Snickers Salad. Really? You cannot call it a salad. I don’t care if you are mimicking a fruit salad (sort of) but with candy. Sorry. That’s just wrong.
My sister in law calls it Snickers dessert. That’s better. I think Caramel Apple Pie would work just as well, but most people already know it as Snickers Salad.
I got the idea to move it from the bowl to a pie crust from this recipe here on I Heart Naptime. It’s a bit of a gloppy mess (don’t expect clean pie slices) but I like the addition of the graham cracker crust. Her recipe adds cream cheese to mixture, which probably helps with structure, but I prefer the creamy filling without it.
Before I tasted it, I was thinking that the crust was superfluous and making it into a pie was an unnecessary step. But upon inspection and discussion, it was decided that having in a pie helps it from being over-the-top sweet and also gives it some much needed texture.
Every time I make Snickers Pie, it’s scooped up quickly. Since it’s a no-bake pie, it’s perfect for summer. It’s also great if you’re working on a big meal (hello, Thanksgiving) and don’t want to take up oven space.
Can I make this the day before serving?
It only takes a couple hours for Snickers Pie to set, so you don’t NEED to make it early, but you certainly can. If you are going to do that, however, don’t add any additional apple slices to the top of the pie until you’re ready to serve. You don’t want them to get brown. The apple slices inside the pie will be perfectly fine.

Haha! Nothing like taking something healthy and and drowning it in chocolate and caramel 🙂 Looking forward to checking out the other entries (to be honest, I’d completely forgotten about that).
