These Cookie Sticks have all the buttery, chocolate chip cookie flavor you love in a fun, dippable shape. Cut into thin strips, they’re perfect for dunking in a cold glass of milk or dipping in melted chocolate for an extra special treat.

If you know me at all (or if you’ve followed along here for any length of time) you’ll know that I LOVE chocolate chip cookies. They are my all-time favorite treat. You just can’t beat that chewy sweet cookie with chocolate in every bite. Seriously, they are the best.
While I prefer a very thick cookie like these Jumbo Chocolate Chip Cookies, these Cookie Sticks are a great alternative. They can be mixed by hand very quickly, and they bake up in no time at all, which makes them an ideal after school treat.
I found this recipe at an estate sale in a binder full of newspaper and magazine clippings. I like to think that something another family enjoyed 30 years ago can now be enjoyed by my own! Food is connection is so many ways. <3

Ingredients needed for Cookie Sticks:
- sugar
- brown sugar
- oil
- vanilla
- egg
- flour
- baking soda
- salt
- chocolate chips
Instructions
In a medium bowl, mix together the sugars, oil, vanilla and egg until smooth.

Add the dry ingredients (flour, soda and salt) to the wet and stir until a smooth dough is formed.

Divide the dough into 4 sections, place on a large sheet pan and shape each section into a strip about 10” long and 3” wide with at least 1” between each one. Shape the dough so each strip is evenly thick.
If you don’t have a large enough sheet pan, it’s fine to bake 2-3 on a smaller pan instead. My half sheet pan fits all four strips, while a quarter size would only fit 2 and a larger cookie sheet (shown below) will fit 3. Just use whatever you have!
Sprinkle each strip with chocolate chips and press down gently.

Bake for about 8 minutes, let them cool (but not completely) and then slice into 1″-2″ strips. Allow to cool completely before serving.
