We start school again next week. I know I say this every year, but I can’t believe that summer is already over! Time to pull out all the back to school ideas.
Now, I know that Pinterest is full of wonderful and creative back to school ideas that might make you feel like a failure as a parent. But that’s not the point, really!
NO ONE does everything that’s on the internet. I don’t even do things like this every year. But once in a while, I do one thing from the many great ideas on my Pinterest boards.
For example, I think the idea of using a Lazy Susan on the table for your school supplies is genius. Just about every homeschool parent I know uses the dining room table for schoolwork.

Don’t feel bad if you aren’t creating photo props for the first day of school, or doing themed lunches or designing a homework station for the year. It’s OK. Really, it is.
But maybe there’s something from this list that you actually want to do and will serve a useful purpose in your home. Perhaps you’ll see an idea that just inspires you to try something you’ve been thinking about.

Hi, I love your ideas. I am having Back to School withdrawals and so want to do some of these. For the first time in 20 years I do not have a child going back to public school and it is weird! I want to run out to buy a new backpack, new clothes, and fight the crowd at Office Depot. Cherish these moments while you can!! If I made them for some random kid, would that be weird? hahaha

Wow! Great post. I’ve never seen so many different back to school ideas in one post! I will have to share this with a friend of mine that likes to do DIY crafts with her son.I wish I had these ideas when I was a kid. It would have made the scary first day of school not so bad!
