Quick, easy and bursting with flavor, Microwave Caramel Apple Oatmeal is the perfect breakfast for busy mornings!
I’ll be first one to admit, most days around here, the only thing on the menu for breakfast is cereal. Mornings are busy, and I’m not keen on making a mess in the kitchen first thing in the morning. However, sometimes you just need something hearty in the morning, and this Microwave Caramel Apple Oatmeal is easy to make and keeps you full until lunch. The best part is you can make the whole thing in the same bowl you eat from, so no big mess!
Thank you, Extended Stay America, for making this post possible by allowing us to enjoy a wonderful weekend and still eat great food like this Microwave Caramel Apple Oatmeal while away from home! As with any sponsor I work with, my opinions are 100% my own!
This simple recipe is packed with the flavors of fall. It’s almost like eating a caramel apple for breakfast. 🙂 OK, it’s not that sweet. If you want to keep this on the healthy side, you certainly can eliminate the caramel completely and sweeten with honey, maple syrup or nothing at all. It’s totally up to you!
A couple weeks ago, we said goodbye to summer with a long weekend getaway that included a stay at Extended Stay America in Carlsbad. They have become our hotel of choice for family trips because it’s just so expensive to travel with kids! At Extended Stay, we take advantage of the full kitchen and eat most of our meals “at home” instead of going for fast food or out to a restaurant. We can save hundreds of dollars over a few days of vacation this way! This microwave oatmeal is a perfect meal to eat when staying at a hotel! Extended Stay will even provide all the dishes for you! We stayed with them last summer and you can read more about our experience here.
