One of the easiest things to put together for a party, this vegetable dip will be the star of your veggie tray!
Last weekend, we hosted a baby shower for my sister-in-law and her soon-coming third baby. We split up the food among us and I brought this delicious veggie dip that I found on Ashlee Marie’s site via Pinterest. If you search “vegetable dip” on Pinterest there are loads of options, but I liked this one because it was simple and the addition of bacon intrigued me.
We called the party a “sprinkle” because there was no need for a big fancy “shower” the third time around. It was really just an excuse for her friends and family to get together and oo and ah over cute baby clothes while eating yummy snacks. 😉 I’ll share some more photos from the party next week with the recipe for a sunny yellow punch that was delicious!
OK, back to the yummy vegetable dip recipe. 🙂
Cheesy Bacon Vegetable Dip
Ingredients
- 16 oz sour cream
- 1 packet 1 oz Ranch dressing dip mix
- 3 oz bacon bits
- 1 cup finely shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl. Refrigerate for an hour to allow it to thicken a bit and the flavors to come together. Serve with a variety of fresh vegetables, chips or crackers.
I’ve been munching on the leftovers of this dip all week and it’s still fantastic. The savory addition of bacon makes it a little bit addicting. 🙂 You could always use bacon that you’ve fried up yourself, but honestly, the time saved by opening a little packet of bacon bits and dumping them in the bowl is pretty nice.
