Today we took our little co-op group for a field trip to In-n-Out. Best. Field Trip. Ever! Well, it was our first one, but I still think it was awesome! However, I digress. Because we had the field trip, we didn’t do school work today.
So I decided to try a cute little craft I saw as part of a roundup of crafts for boys. For some reason, scarecrow arts and crafts always catch my eye. They are loveable and cute, I suppose.
This cute craftstick scarecrow is perfect for Fall! Craftstick? Or is it craft stick? We always call them Popsicle sticks, but these weren’t actually inside a Popsicle first. Anyway, try this fun little scarecrow craft this season!
What you need for this popsicle stick scarecrow:
- Craft sticks
- Glue (school glue and tacky or hot glue)
- Googly eyes
- Felt
- Card stock
- Marker
How to make this scarecrow craft:
- We only had colored craft sticks, so we used some craft paint to even out the color
- After the sticks were painted and mostly dry, we glued them to the card stock to hold them together.
- Once everything is dry, glue felt strips for hair, felt hat (I just cut it out of felt freehand), the googly eyes and nose on your face. Use a marker to draw on a smiley face. Use hot glue or tacky glue for the felt. School glue doesn’t work! Trust us 🙂
