The weather is gorgeous, the sand box has been cleaned out and the park play dates are picking up steam. Thus begins “sand in the hair, diaper, shoes and socks” season 🙂 This morning at the park I mentioned that I had forgotten to bring the baby powder. I was surprised to find that none of the other moms were familiar with this tried and true method for removing sand! You really can use baby powder to remove sand.
After a trip to the park, or worse, a trip from the edge of the sand at the beach to the car, just rub down your skin with baby powder and the sand will fall right off! No washing, rinsing and best of all, no chafing! I try to keep a diaper bag sized bottle of baby powder in the car all Spring and Summer to keep the sand off bare feet and more importantly, my carpets! PLUS, everyone smells great afterwards 🙂
