I can’t believe my baby is already one year old today! I almost feel like his party was sponsored by Pinterest, because I used so many pins tonight! Our main dish, an element of the side dish, the cake, the balloons and the table decorations were all ideas I got from Pinterest. So I’m going to milk this for everything it’s worth and spread it out over a few days. I already did a post about the flatware containers, so tonight I’ll mention the table.
I saw this idea to use wrapping paper as a table runner a while ago, and I thought it was a great idea. I bought some paper that coordinated with my color scheme and was ready to go. What should have been as easy as unrolling it was complicated by the fact that my dollar store table cloth (I know, you get what you pay for) was about two feet wide and eight feet long. So my paper runner was wider than my table cloth! Ugh! It took a little rearranging, but I used a cloth white table cloth, used my yellow plastic one as a runner and then cut a smaller length of paper as a runner over the yellow one. It turned out pretty cute, and next time I’ll be sure to check the sizing before I buy another dollar store table cloth!
