use roasted, salted peanuts for extra sweet/salty contrast

Extra M&M's, baking chips, pretzels pieces, etc. for topping

Instructions
Heat oven to 350°F.
In a medium bowl, mix together flour, baking soda, and salt
1 ⅛ cup all purpose flour,
½ teaspoon baking soda,
¼ teaspoon salt
In a large bowl, beat softened butter, and sugar until light and fluffy.
½ cup butter,
¾ cup brown sugar
Add egg and vanilla, and mix together well.
1 egg,
1 teaspoon vanilla
Stir in flour mixture.
Stir in M&Ms, white chips, pretzel pieces, and peanuts.
⅓ cup red and green m&ms,
½ cup white baking chips,
⅓ cup pretzel pieces,
¼ cup peanuts
Drop by tablespoon onto ungreased or parchment paper lined baking sheet
Sprinkle with the red and green sprinkles and any other extra toppings you wish to add
2 Tablespoons red and green sprinkles,
Extra M&M's, baking chips, pretzels pieces, etc. for topping
Bake in center of oven for 9 minutes, until set on the edges, but still soft
Remove from oven and let cool 5 minutes on the baking sheet before removing
Notes
Note: If you want the red and green M&Ms to be clearly visible and more festive looking, make sure you add a few to the top before baking!
