Strawberry Cream Cheese Frosting

Ingredients

cup
sliced strawberries
or frozen (thawed and drained of any excess liquid)
3/4
cup
butter
softened to room temperature
4
ounces
cream cheese
softened to room temperature
pinch
of salt
3 1/4
cups
powdered sugar
1/2
tsp
vanilla
Instructions
In a blender or food processor, puree strawberries.
3/4 cup sliced strawberries
Cream together the butter, cream cheese and salt until fluffy.

4 ounces cream cheese,
pinch of salt
Add powdered sugar slowly, until well combined.
3 1/4 cups powdered sugar
Mix in vanilla and strawberry puree a few Tbsp at a time to taste and desired consistency.
1/2 tsp vanilla
Refrigerate for at least 2 hours to thicken.
Notes
If needed, thicken icing with a corn starch slurry (1 tbsp corn starch mixed with 1 tbsp milk)
Keep refrigerated until time to serve (they will be OK for 2 hours at room temperature)
Freeze-dried strawberries can be added for an even more intense strawberry flavorÂ
