Add peas, water, ham, broth, onion, potato, garlic, salt and pepper to a slow cooker and mix well. Cover and cook on low heat for 10 to 11 hours or high for 4-5 hours until peas and potatoes are tender.
Mix well and stir in half and half and fresh dill.
Serve immediately topped with fresh dill if desired.
Pressure Cooker instructions
Cook onions on Brown/Saute to soften. Add all other ingredients except half and half and dill. Cook on Soup setting for 20 minutes. Allow natural pressure release for at least 10 minutes. Release remaining steam and open lid. Stir in half and half and dill. Serve.
