For the apples

Pippin or Granny Smith apples
peeled and sliced

For the topping

butter
(one stick)

old fashioned oats

cup
sugar

brown sugar

flour
Instructions
Mix the apple slices, cornstarch, sugar and cinnamon. Place in a 9x9 baking pan.
In a separate bowl, mix together the topping ingredients, cutting in the butter to create a crumbly topping.
Cover apple mixture with crumb topping and bake at 325° for 30-40 minutes. (Depends on how much "bite" you want to have in your apple slices)
Top with vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce or whipped cream. Serve warm.
