In a large mixing bowl, mash bananas, and whisk in eggs
2 bananas, 2 eggs
Once eggs are incorporated into bananas, add sugar, greek yogurt, oil, and vanilla, and whisk until combined
½ cup sugar, ⅓ cup plain greek yogurt, ¼ cup neutral tasting oil, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt
2 cups flour, 1 teaspoon baking powder, ½ teaspoon baking soda, ¼ teaspoon salt
Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined
Stir in cherries and pecans (if using)
1 cup cherries, ½ cup chopped pecans or walnuts
Divide between 12 paper-lined, or greased muffin cups
Bake in center of preheated oven for 18-20 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the middle of a muffin comes out clean
Remove from the oven and let cool several minutes before removing form muffin tin
