Bacon Wrapped Asparagus Puffs

If you're looking for a great appetizer or perfect Easter side dish, these bacon wrapped asparagus puffs are the perfect fit! Try them with Pepper Jack cheese for a spicy twist!

Ingredients

  • 12-15 stalks of asparagus woody ends removed (get thick stalks that will stand up to baking for longer)
  • 1 can crescent roll dough
  • 4-8 strips of bacon, cooked
  • shaved Parmesan cheese
  • olive oil for brushing
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  • Unroll the crescent roll dough and pull apart into four squares (2 triangles=1 square)
  • Place a strip or two of bacon across the middle of the square
  • Lay 3-5 stalks of asparagus on the bacon
  • Brush the asparagus with olive oil, being sure to get all the way to the tips
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Top with shaved Parmesan cheese
  • Wrap up the sides of the dough and overlap a bit to keep closed
  • Bake at 375 until golden brown (about 13 minutes)
