This time next month I’m headed to my first conference of the year. I joined Social Fabric last February and it has been one of the best things I could do for my blog. It has connected with me other bloggers in all different niches and allowed me to work with all sorts of amazing brands and retailers. Contrary to popular opinion, blogging isn’t free. It’s not even cheap! Being able to share brands and products that I love in unique, creative ways helps my family financially and pays for all the costs associated with running a blog. And that allows me to bring my readers free and amazing content week after week! Now I get to meet so many of the people I work with online right here in LA!
Social Fabric (also known as SoFab) has a department know as SoFabU where members can take classes online designed to help them be better bloggers and business owners. I have taken several of the courses. Now, they are taking the “university” on the road for one day conferences all over the country! The sessions are hands-on and aimed at making simple changes to make you better right then and there! Alea Milham from Premeditated Leftovers will be the speaker for the LA conference, held at Johnny Rockets. How fun is that? After the classes are done, there will be a city-specific adventure.
Last year, I went to my first conference ever in San Diego with the SITS girls. You can read about my experience here. I’m looking forward to another conference experience and learning more about running a successful blog and business! If you live anywhere near the locations for SoFabU this year, you should do your best to attend! It’s open to any influencers- not just Social Fabric members. Attendance is capped at 50 so the sessions can be very one-on-one and attendees get the most out of the experience. I hope to see you there!
