You guys! Guess. What. I was accepted as a regular contributor (for the next six months) to The Best Blog Recipes. How cool is that?!? This is my first post for them and I was so excited, I wrote it weeks ago. I’m so lame. 🙂 So here’s the intro and then please click over to their great site to get the full recipe and instructions. Because these babies were tasty.
Hello Best Blog Recipes readers! Can I call you BBRR’s? Seems to be a bit of a mouthful 🙂 Speaking of mouthful (groan-what an awful segue) you’re going to LOVE these savory and sweet BBQ Carnitas! My blog is called 365(ish) Days of Pinterest, and I generally spend my time making and adapting recipes that I found on Pinterest to share with my readers, but this one is all me! Now, please don’t go and find an exact recipe somewhere and pop my bubble! I’d like to think I have a smidgen of creativity and came up with this on my own! I made BBQ pulled pork sandwiches in the slow cooker for Sunday lunch, and I had a ton of leftovers. So the next night I came up with these babies to help use up the pork. To complement the BBQ flavors, I made a slaw with shredded cabbage, carrots and a sweet pineapple dressing. The result was something I am particularly proud of!
